Better workplace wellbeing with Able Futures

Able Futures recently attended the Health and Wellbeing at Work Conference at the Birmingham NEC on 11th and 12th March 2025, engaging with organisations committed to improving workplace mental health.

The event welcomed over 5,000 visitors, including employers, wellbeing professionals, and industry leaders, all seeking ways to enhance their mental health and wellbeing support. Throughout the two days, Able Futures had meaningful conversations with hundreds of employers to discuss how the Access to Work Mental Health Support Service can provide no cost, confidential support to employees and help businesses strengthen their workplace wellbeing strategies.

The conference also provided an opportunity to hear positive feedback from existing partners who recommend the service, as well as forming new relationships with organisations interested in signposting Able Futures to the SMEs they support. With many smaller businesses facing resource challenges, the ability to offer no cost mental health support through a simple referral process can be a valuable addition to their employee wellbeing offer.

“Able Futures is dedicated to helping businesses and individuals access the support they need to thrive at work,” said Simon Tansell-Brown, Operational Support Manager at Able Futures. “Events like this allow us to connect with employers—particularly SMEs—who are passionate about workplace wellbeing but may not always have the in-house resources to provide dedicated mental health support.”

A dedicated team of Able Futures representatives was on hand throughout the event, sharing insights and engaging in valuable conversations. Their expertise and passion for mental health advocacy contributed to meaningful discussions about how organisations—especially those with smaller teams—can access specialist support without additional cost.

Able Futures continues to work with employers across the UK, providing practical guidance and support for individuals experiencing mental health challenges at work.
